Kitchen renovations in La Marina and Ciudad Quesada

Complete kitchens from €5,000, finished in 12 to 25 days. Design, units, worktop, appliances and new services.

The kitchen is the renovation that changes daily life in a house the most, and the one that adds most value if you plan to sell or rent. In an area like ours, where many properties are bought to live in year-round after years of holiday use, the kitchen is usually the first place where it shows that the house has dated.

Kitchens in the urbanisations of La Marina, Ciudad Quesada and Torrevieja follow a very recognisable pattern: lots of poorly used wall units, tiled or laminate worktops, a noisy extractor and wiring that cannot handle induction plus an oven and dishwasher at the same time. All of that can be solved, and almost always without touching the layout.

We design, supply and install. We coordinate the joiner, plumber, electrician and tiler so you do not have to chase four different trades or line up their dates between them.

What a kitchen renovation with us includes

  • Design and planning

Laser measuring and a layout proposal. We work through the working triangle (sink, hob and fridge) and find storage where there was dead space: pull-out larders, deep drawers, corner carousels.

  • New electrics and plumbing

A dedicated circuit for the hob and for the oven, enough sockets above the worktop and renewed waste runs. That is what lets you move to induction without tripping the board — rarely possible as-is in 1990s properties.

  • Units and worktop

Moisture-resistant units with soft-close hinges and a porcelain, compact or granite worktop. In kitchens with an outside window we avoid finishes that yellow in direct sun, very common on the south-facing aspects here.

  • Appliances and extractor

Supply and installation of hob, oven, extractor, sink and taps. If there is no flue or it is badly routed, we propose a recirculating extractor with a carbon filter rather than breaking through the façade.

  • Tiling, flooring and paintwork

Splashback, flooring and painting the rest of the room. We leave the kitchen ready to use and clean, not half finished waiting for a painter.

Kitchen renovation prices in 2026

Real ranges for an 8 to 14 m² kitchen in La Marina, Ciudad Quesada and the surrounding area. They include units, worktop, labour, services, waste disposal and VAT. Appliances are quoted separately and itemised.

  • Units replacement

    €5,000 – €8,000

New units and worktop keeping the layout, tiling and floor. Sink, taps and extractor replaced. The best result-per-euro option if the kitchen is sound but dated.

  • Complete kitchen

    €8,000 – €12,500

Everything new: units, worktop, tiled splashback, flooring, renewed electrics and plumbing, extractor and sink. What we recommend for properties over 20 years old.

  • Kitchen open to the lounge

    €12,500 – €16,000

Complete kitchen plus opening the partition to the lounge, an island or peninsula, and structural reinforcement if needed. Requires a minor works licence and, if the wall is load-bearing, a technical report.

Indicative 2026 prices. The two factors that move the quote most are the worktop you choose (there can be €1,500 between materials) and whether a partition has to be opened up.

How we work

  1. Technical visit and design

We measure, check what services you have and bring you a layout proposal with two or three alternatives. We show physical samples of worktops and fronts, not just photos on a screen.

  2. Fixed quote within 48h

With the specific references for units, worktop and appliances. Building work and furniture are shown separately, so you can adjust one without giving up the other.

  3. Works in 12 to 25 days

A kitchen without layout changes takes 12-16 working days; opening it to the lounge, up to 25. The units are manufactured while we do the building work, so the two lead times do not stack.

  4. Installation, commissioning and guarantee

We install, connect and check everything works before we leave. VAT invoice, 2-year guarantee on labour and the manufacturer guarantees on units and appliances.

Frequently asked questions about kitchen renovations

How much does it cost to replace just the kitchen units?

Between €5,000 and €8,000 for an 8 to 14 m² kitchen, including new units, worktop, sink, taps and extractor, fitted. If you keep your current appliances and they are in good condition, the saving is around €1,500 to €2,500.

Can the kitchen be opened up to the lounge in properties here?

In most cases yes, but it depends on whether the partition is load-bearing. In the terraced and semi-detached houses of La Marina and Ciudad Quesada it is usually a single-skin partition and opening it is straightforward. If it is load-bearing it can still be done with a steel lintel, but that needs structural calculations and a minor works licence. We check this during the technical visit before quoting.

How long does a kitchen renovation take?

Between 12 and 25 working days. We order the units at the start and progress the building work while they are being made, so the 3-4 weeks of manufacturing do not add to the build time. Without that overlap, many companies end up at 6 weeks.

Can I cook during the renovation?

Not in the kitchen. What we do is set up a temporary point with a sink and a portable hob in another room where feasible, and plan the works so the period without a kitchen is as short as possible. On complete kitchens that is around 10-12 days of no real use.

Do you use your own kitchen units or branded ones?

We work with Spanish manufacturers that have service and spare parts in Alicante, not imports with no after-sales. If you prefer a specific brand or want to buy the units yourself, we will still fit them: in that case the quote covers only the building work and installation.
